“Ready to FACE Anything”

  • I remember growing up, my mom always had a skin regime using the “don’t mention” products, staring at her going through her 3 steps morning and evening. Yet, her skin today at age 76 does not reflect her doing the skincare she did.

I must admit I started my skin regime at the prime of my life, well mine was at 35 (don’t know when your prime is hehe) this was when I had my first child and I was introduced to Lamelle. They both changed my life forever, we all know what pregnancy does to your skin. Ok, hear me out, the fact that I can walk around in Checkers with no makeup or rock up at a soccer game (#soccermommies) is life-changing…why? Because it saves time and we know how we can’t buy time, Jokes aside…. Lamelle gives and creates confidence, confidence to walk around with no foundation but gloss on the lips, and of course either your Helase for your kid’s extra murals or the ALL NEW Urban Decay for your shopping trips.

I Never leave the house without sunblock never, even if it’s raining or overcast. Having amazing skin, a glowing skin tone, and great skin elasticity is not overrated guys, it’s me being #readytofaceanything. The team always says that my skin speaks for itself, in this case, it sells itself. Random people meet me and ask me, what facial products do you use? Only the best in the business of course. I walk and talk and operate with confidence, who is scared of switching on your zoom camera? Not me!

“Lamelle stands for confidence & quality”

  • I am Sumaiya Omar. An internationally published and award-winning wedding Cake Artist, Teacher, Mentor, and Demonstrator. A lifestyle Content Creator who loves being in front of the camera as a speaker and presenter. I also run a charity called My Sister’s Keeper which advocates against GBV and for the assisting of the elderly.

Because of my busy lifestyle, I tend to rely on skincare quite heavily, to get me through every day, without having to really dote too much on it, so that I can focus on my daily tasks, errands, and commitments. Lamelle has done this and so much more for me.

Being A Lamelle Brand Ambassador has definitely been a milestone for me. Lamelle stands for more than just skincare. To me, It stands for confidence, it stands for quality, and it stands for diversity and integrity. Key components, values, and ethics are very dear to me.

Lamelle has educated me on the science behind skincare. They have taken the time to nurture us individually with an education on the science of skin and all its various components.

I have never understood my skin as much as I do now and will always be grateful for Lamelle for entrusting me.

“Now my skin is brighter, it’s healthier, and even.”

  • My Lamelle journey has been life-changing! Before being introduced to it, my skin was dull, dry, and uneven. I was never confident enough to go out without wearing makeup. Every chance I got, I would be covered in makeup but I had the privilege to meet the Lamelle team, that’s when my skin changed for the better. Now my skin is brighter, it’s healthier, and even.

I was introduced to the Luminescence range which helps reduce dark marks and pigmentation and it was exactly what my skin had been longing for. I have been using Lamelle for 4 years and my skin still loves it. I have recently introduced it to my dad, who taught me everything about skincare and he loves it too.

My favorite product from Lamelle is their brighter concentrate serum. My skin feels brand new every time I use it! The brand is so special, it caters to all skin types and all skin needs. It lives up to its promise and that’s what I love the most about Lamelle - Lisa

“As a 25-year-old sun lover, Lamelle skincare is the perfect fit for me.”

  • I was introduced to Lamelle’s Serra range in the Winter of 2021 and absolutely fell in love with the brand. I have never really had problematic skin but struggled with dryness during Winter months. The Serra range completely changed the look and

feel of my skin within a few weeks, and I now use this range together with the Lamelle Nourish range to complete my skincare routine.

The Nourish range, which actively repairs skin damage at a cellular DNA level and reduces the risk of skin damage from environmental exposure, perfectly fits into my lifestyle. As a young professional who loves the outdoors this range has truly saved my skin. I complete my daily skincare routine with either the Lamelle Helase 50+ Sunscreen (when I’m out and about on a sunny day) or the Lamelle Urban Defence Sunscreen (when I have a day at the office).

I believe in prevention rather than cure, and with Lamelle I, not only protect my skin from environmental exposure and damage but also repair and restore my skin on a daily basis.

Lamelle uses science to create products suitable for all skin types, and I for one can not recommend it enough.

“I've always had a fascination for glowing skin and I tried to pursue that.”

  • Since I was a young girl, I've always had a fascination for glowing skin and I tried to pursue that. I would jump from one product to the next whichever was the product leader at that stage in the store, needless to say, I never saw the results I wanted.

After I became a mother my skin changed, it became incredibly dry & sensitive and I started developing eczema on my face. As a result of that, my skin appeared much older and I looked "warn" and dried out. There was absolutely nothing I could use. And I made peace with my dry, irritated skin. I noticed the Serra range which is for dry & sensitive skin and I was advised to try it. My skin changed completely. No more red, tender, flaky skin. It took a couple of days to settle, and since then I was hooked on Lamelle.

It is almost 6 years later. My life, face & skin changed completely. I am indeed ready to face anything. Over the past couple of years, I can honestly say that I gained my skin confidence and that I am comfortable in my own skin. My skin is glowing, I do not have to wear make up- it is a choice because my skin is looking and feeling fantastic!

“The idea of having good skin was a dream… until the day my path crossed with Lamelle”

  • Let me start by saying I have always had very sensitive skin and the idea of having good skin was a dream I once thought would never become a reality, until the day my path crossed with Lamelle more than 6 years ago.

I vividly recall the conversation I had with a good friend surrounding my skin frustrations and challenges, especially since I work in an entertainment industry where what you look like most definitely plays a role. At that stage my skin was in a horrible condition with constant break-outs, large pores, premature aging, and hyperpigmentation, all making me feel extremely self-conscious, which is not ideal when you have to be on stage or screen in front of so many people. I remember my friend telling me about Lamelle, about the fact that this product range was developed by South Africans for South Africans, that it is an active product that keeps on working even after application, and that it has an inside-out approach with supplements that can assist in the treatment of skin conditions and that there are products designed for every and any skin. It all sounded too good to be true, but little did I know how true it all would be and in what a significant way my life would be changed by this product range and the people behind it.

I was introduced to the lovely Karen Bester who referred me to a salon. I then started my journey with Lamelle and went from an insecure performer having to constantly cover my face with loads of make-up to a confident cover girl on the front page of one of our country’s most renowned magazines.

Having good skin is a gift every person should be able to receive. It does however require some dedication, patience, and the correct product range along with in-salon treatments.

The dedication and patience that Lamelle has shown towards me, especially with my fluctuating hormones after two pregnancies as well as breastfeeding both babies, along with my work schedule and stress levels, adult acne, dry skin, hyperpigmentation, and of course aging has been remarkable and the results I have seen on my skin even more so.

Along with the incredible Lamelle team, I work very closely with Penny Burger from Mellow Clinic. Penny is not only my skin therapist, offering skincare guidance and regular in-salon treatments but she has also become a mentor and friend offering a safe space to recover, recharge and rejoice in my personal journey.

If your skin is a map of all you have experienced I would like to dedicate my skin glow to a company, brand, and people who have not only invested in my skin but have taught me to invest in myself. You truly have created confidence through my skincare journey - Thank you Lamelle for always being there, for your kind nature, and actual results, and for continuing to inspire through innovative ways to face anything xx

“I really am #ReadyToFaceAnything and that’s in large part to seeing my skincare as an investment, not a spend, and experiencing first-hand that the Lamelle range is indeed science, not fiction.

  • My Lamelle story started after the birth of my second child in 2017. While I’d hoped to be one of those moms, cradling a newborn, bathed in that magazine cover post-partum glow, I wasn’t. Instead, I found myself with a ‘mask’ of melasma – dark patches of hyper-pigmentation on my forehead, cheekbones, and jawline that resembled the faux leopard print coat I’d been coveting throughout my third trimester.

While I write this with some amusement now, it wasn’t amusing at the time. The ‘fourth trimester’ isn’t exactly the most glamorous period of a woman’s life and feeling really self-conscious about my skin put a dent in my formally pretty dent-free confidence. I found myself having to apply colour correcting concealers and CC cream and foundation, employing all of the Fine Art student skills from my twenties, just to leave the house. Going make-up-free wasn’t an option. And, so, I decided that I needed to do something about it.

Being an avid social media scroller, I’d come across the Lamelle brand and product range on Instagram, and was impressed by the results I saw posted by some of their brand ambassadors and influencers. To be honest, my expectations weren’t high but I was willing to give anything a try. So, I left hubby at home with some freshly pumped breast milk and I paid a visit to one of their stockists, a reputable aesthetics clinic to get myself the Luminesce range – a cleanser, serum, day cream, night cream, and SPF.

Fast forward three months and it was clear (excuse the pun!) that it was one of the best things I’ve ever done for my skin and my confidence. I added Ovelle D3 capsules and another couple of serums to the mix (HA and Vita C) shortly after my first ‘batch’ of Lamelle products needed to be restocked and I didn’t just have a virtually pigmentation-free complexion but I had the post-partum glow I’d always wanted.

By the time I entered Mrs South Africa – a pageant for married women sponsored by Lamelle – in 2020, I wasn’t just a Lamelle brand ambassador, I was an avid cheerleader, having experienced the #CreatingConfidence promise myself. As a Mrs. South Africa Finalist, being able to rock up at whatever call time, makeup-free without a hint of self-consciousness was an absolute gift because it gave me the mental bandwidth to focus on what I was there to do, not be distracted by skin insecurities.

Post-Pageant Land I have continued to use the Lamelle Luminesce Range every day, morning, and night, 365 days a year. As I approach 40, my skin has never looked better and I’ve never felt more comfortable – and confident in it. I really am #ReadyToFaceAnything and that’s in large part to seeing my skincare as an investment, not a spend, and experiencing first-hand

that the Lamelle range is indeed science, not fiction.

“There's a Beauty and Resilience to having thick skin. It's an attitude that defies rational cause and effect.”

  • There's a Beauty and Resilience to having thick skin. It's an attitude that defies rational cause and effect. It's a daily prayer and war cry that sustains us through our various battles. We armor our paths with swords at our heels matched with a high-waisted Breastplate. We invest time in the delicate application of our war paint, leaving the lips for last as the final marking of our insignia and weapon.

Thick skin is not detectable to the naked eye. Only the heart can truly see the battle wounds that lie beneath the layers of

concealer. The reservoir of tears held back, the strained and rusted scaffolding that keeps our chins upright. The incomprehensible and load-bearing Peace that somehow maintains our structural integrity.

And when the battle is through, we claim our Victory through the cleansing ritual of oils and serums. The soothing cream replenishes our thick skin as we wipe away the evidence of today's trials. And if tomorrow is gifted to yet face another battle, I Arise with a fresh canvas, to prepare my thick skin. Ready to Face Anything
