Twenty One Days of Healthy Skin - Love Somebody (Day 6)

Day 6.jpg

It is one thing to help your skin feel and look good, but it is another when you decide to share some love. This might be by helping a loved one to take care of their skin. Keeping your partner or children’s skin healthy gives you an opportunity to help them to appreciate the daily skincare routine that you have.

Healthy skin matters and should be a norm in your home, as much as brushing your teeth and washing your hands.

It is obvious that the daily application of respectable skincare products, like Lamelle’s product ranges, is important. Encouraging your family to apply some skincare basics is of utmost importance. The easiest habit to teach is a straight forward routine of washing your face in the morning (to remove the dirt and microbes that might have settled on your face while sleeping) and in the evening (to remove makeup and grime, such as smog, smoke or dirt).

Love somebody in your immediate vicinity. This could be a child or partner. Allow them to join in your routine cleansing and moisturising sessions. If you have the space in your bathroom you could show them one on one, and they could do it for themselves.

Another idea is to do a little “facial party”….. Get out the big mixing bowls and set up on the dining room table with towels, sponges or face cloths, scarves as make-shift headbands and your personal choice of products – those that you are prepared to share. You might even demonstrate the full cleansing routine and add exfoliation and a mask. Please share the photos with us on our Lamelle social media pages with the #lamellersa.

If you are living on your own this could be online exercise with close friends and family members in their own homes? Come on we are all getting used to each other with no make-up on. You can do this!

My mother always said; “You leave a beautiful and positive impression of yourself when your family is looking neat, tidy and healthy.” So apply this self-love by loving and teaching your family to look after their skin.

Help your family – and friends – look and feel healthy and tidy and feel loved by sharing your skincare know-how.
